Daughters of the Divine is a Rite’s of Passage Program for
young women between the ages of 11 and 17 years old to teach them the necessary principles, values, cultural history and disciplines
which will anchor them on their passage through Adolescence, Puberty, and into Adulthood. This Rites of Passages is an intensive
and comprehensive model for spiritual growth that focuses on self-discovery.
Through discussions, meditations, and life examination using African
philosophies of existence, the participant will be drawn into the African culture and history and examine how it shapes our
lives. This Passage will assist young girls
with developing methods of controlling themselves, analyzing situations, and developing positive relations with other people
and their environment. Our goal is to encourage the importance of life-long learning and to impose the dedication of Self
employment. What initiation does is to set a time on the journey for bringing the individuals into formal and explicit relation
with the realities and responsibility of their future as adults..
